Independent travel through the years. 1970s to present, from film to digital.
I live in the U.K. North West, and started travelling independently in the 1970’s including three years as a VSO volunteer in rural Kenya. During all that time, though travel was the main driver, I took photos, first in film and now predominately using digital cameras. In a choice between enjoying the moment and getting a photo, the moment always came first, these days, however, I am also keen on getting the photo as well.
After a career as an intercultural and behavioral skills trainer I now work as a volunteer for the Warrington Asylum-seeker and Refugee Support Group.
